If you’ve always wanted to be a part of our podcasting family - here’s your chance. We’re looking for a volunteer show notes taker for Apple Phone Show. We need someone who speaks, reads and writes fluent English and who can promise to deliver notes within 24-48 hours of receiving the show.

If you’re interested ping me at applephoneshow @ gmail.com.

Thanks

UPDATE: We have the position filled. Thanks to all who wrote in.

Mention the special code PHONESHOW to get 10% off from Bodyguardz. They make great protection for the iPhone.

Yeah! We’re back. The blog is fixed and everything is working. And this event, while time consuming and frustrating, has opened the door for some changes here at Apple Phone Show.

We’re going to stick with the new template. It’s time for a change.

And more changes are coming to the podcast.

We all know that Andy and Chris are the real stars of the Apple Phone Show so I am going to step back and give them a larger role.

I’ll continue on as executive producer and I’ll still intro the show - but we’re going to abandon the interview format we have been using and let both Andy and Chris just do their thing.

After 16 months of blogging and nearly a year of doing the podcast, you all know what I think. Now it’s time to hear more about what Andy and Chris think.

I will continue to run the blog and post my thoughts here. And when something big happens, like the introduction of the 3G phone later this year, I’ll chime in.

But for the most part, you’ll hear more of the stars.

Also, we’re going to make the iPhone Web Site Pick of the Week a blog-only thing. Liana Lehua from Girls Gone Geek will continue to make the picks. So continue sending us your ideas.

And we might not stop there. If you have constructive ideas about how you’d like to see the show evolve in its second year, let me know. You can reach me at applephoneshow @ gmail.com.

Thanks for listening.

For those of you paying attention over the weekend, we were down. We believe the site was hacked. But thanks to good backups and the hard work of my sysadmin Mike Sayah, we got 99.5% of the content back online. We’re still sorting out some formatting errors. And this will take some time.

We may not post as often as usual during this period. You also might have noticed our new look. We’re working with a simpler template to ease the formatting issues. This may or may not change. Just an FYI.Thanks for your patience and as they say in show business, the show must go on. So look for episode #49 on Friday as usual. It’s a very different APS episode. I sent Andy out with a roving mic and he found an iPhone developer to interview.

So check it out and thanks for your patience.

Effective next weekend - we will only post one time per weekend - and that will always be the enhanced version of the regular podcast that is posted every Friday.

Since weekends are the slowest time here on the blog - it made the most sense for us to pick that time to cut back a little. We’re working on some new things for the podcast and need the extra time.

Stay tuned. We’re about to enter our second year of iPhone-related podcasts and we have some new ideas in store for you.

After 36 episodes recorded over Skype - the APS cast is all together in one place - appropriately enough - Macworld Expo.
