Well the waiting is almost over. Apple announced that March 6, 2008, it’s going to tell us about the SDK. We don’t know if that means they will release the SDK then and there, or merely announce the firm shipping date. It’s already late. Steve Jobs promised it in February.
There’s also reason to believe Apple might discuss the iPhone as a tool for enterprise.

Apple has just released the iPhone firmware upgrade 1.1.4. We’re not sure what new features it contains. Our sources tell us it’s a maintenance update related to the upcoming SDK. We also expect it to derail existing jailbreaks, so if you’ve altered your phone in a non-standard way, decide whether or not you want to download the update and know that you risk having problems.

Thanks to all of you who pointed out the iPhone segment on last night’s Oscar show. John Stewart did what amounts to an iPhone commercial as part of a comic bit. Amazing free exposure that Apple has to be happy about.
